MTAP and F-1 Students

Please be advised that F-1 students must take a full time course load of 12 credits here at MC to maintain their F-1 status. Since Montgomery College is issuing the I-20 for the F-1 students fsaATLAS monitors their compliance through Montgomery College. MTAP F-1 students are elibible to take a course at the University of Maryland at the 25% reduced rate but this must be in addition to at least 12 credits taken at Montgomery College. If students have any questions regarding their I-20 or status please have them contact Montgomery College’s International Student Coordinators via e-mail at the campus they wish to attend:
